Steam and Rye is Nick House's (Mahiki, Whisky Mist & Bodo Schloss) latest bar and restaurant concept. Situated in the heart of the City of London, this majestic building once housed the Bank of New York.

This Grade II listed building has since been transformed into a 1920's Americana late night bar with top-notch crab-shack style dining. Based around the premise of Steam Trains and Rye Whiskey, the venue is inhabited by the spiritÌýof fictional Railroad Titan, Beamish J Bettenbaum.

Open weekdays from 4pm to 3am and Saturday's from 6pm to 3am, Steam and Rye is quite different to anything else in the Square Mile.

With Kelly Brook as a partner and a food concept, led by Michelin Star Chef Andrew McLeish and multiple bars managed by world class mixologistÌýand Britain's top bartender Andy Mil, Steam and Rye was always going to create serious excitement.

The main room is an alternate take on Grand Central Station with vintage American flags and the Pacific Eastern Dining Carriages. The cuisine is hearty American with a twist. Juicy Josper Grilled Steaks, Lobsters and Ribs with classic American accompaniments such as Mac 'n' Cheese, BBQ Beans with Pulled Pork & Corn Bread, and Tempura Pickled Vegetables with Spicy Mayo. Other rooms include the 1stÌýClass Cocktail Carriage and the Cargo Hold.

The bar itself is spread along the length of the room and lends itself to people watching, absorbing the buzz whilst sampling one of our delicious and unique cocktails. With names like Maize Balls, Dead Man's Boot and Monica Lewinsky, you are guaranteed to enjoy the ride!
